Just some observations:

Headquarters of Voice of the Martyrs.

Headquarters of Abolish Human Abortion.

Banned Sharia Law in 2010.

Banned Affirmative Action in 2012.

Barack Obama lost every single one of Oklahoma’s 77 counties in 2008 and 2012.

John Kerry didn’t win any in 2004 either.

Home to two of our best Senators, James Inhofe and Tom Coburn. Neither are perfect I know, but what state can beat that?

:applause:

But still in tornado alley and too hot in the summer so count me out…

Nobody is excited about Mitt Romney as a candidate. Nobody. 90% of his polling support comes from “I think he can probably beat Obama”. That’s lazy and defeatist. Take an honest look at his business record. This is not to denigrate it at all, only to compare. Put aside the plethora of rich contacts Mitt Romney has (Mort Zuckerman, Robert Kraft, etc), and the wealth of the man himself, most people say they support him for President (making him the “front runner”) because of his business background and that is just what America needs right now. Hard to argue with that, except that Herman Cain’s business record is better. MUCH better. First of all, Romney has never run a business per se. He was put in charge of a venture capital fund by his boss in 1983. Through shrewd negotiating skills (which nobody denies he has), Romney convinced Bill Bain to cover him financially while also taking the risk (IE “Bain Capital”). It worked in starting up some very successful companies like Staples, Dominos Pizza and The Sports Authority. Due to this and his ties to BYU, he was asked to run the 2002 Olympic committee and did a great job there. Romneys skills are in deal-making, buying and selling companies, being a spokesman and salesman. That’s why he is so competent at debates etc. His dad being governor of Michigan doesn’t hurt either. To summarize: graduated from college (2 colleges at once actually, Harvard business and law), was hired by Bain, ran Bain Capital, became CEO of Bain for a short time (ran against Ted Kennedy for Senate in 1994 and lost), then left Bain in 1999 to run the Salt Lake Games. He parlayed the Olympic success into election as Governor of Mass in 2002 with 49% of the vote (producing the signature Romneycare). He did not seek re-election in 2006 as he was already out of state most of that year laying the groundwork for the 2007 primary season.  So: 20 years at Bain, 3 years Olympics, 4 years Governor, last 5 years unemployed/running for President.

But if primary voters are REALLY honest with themselves this time, they will have to see the much better record of Herman Cain. If Romney’s is “good enough”, Cain’s is on another level entirely. There is no debate about it. To describe him simply as “former Godfather’s Pizza CEO” is downright insulting. We all know he rescued Godfathers from the brink of collapse. Did you also know:

Worked his way up the corporate ladder at Coca Cola, was a VP at Pillsbury and Burger King Corporations. Single-handedly rescued 400 Philadelphia region Burger Kings in the 1980s, by the way. Has been CEO or served on the Board of Directors at: Hallmark Cards Inc., Godfather’s Pizza, Inc., Digital Restaurant Solutions, Retail DNA, UtiliCorp United Inc., Aquila Inc., Bell Research Companies, Inc., Whirlpool Corp., AGCO Corp., Nabisco Inc. and Nabisco Holdings Corp, National Restaurant Association, Reader’s Digest Association Inc. Board member then Chairman of Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He was appointed to serve on the U.S. Economic Growth and Tax Reform Commission, was the 1991 recipient of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association’s Operator of the Year/Gold Plate Award, and has received 8 honorary doctorate degrees: Morehouse College, New York City Technical College, Suffolk University, Johnson & Wales University, Creighton University, Purdue University, Tougaloo College and the University of Nebraska. (Aside from all that, he is literally a rocket scientist working as a missile ballistics mathematician for the Navy WHILE getting his computer science degree at Purdue.)

Think Mitt Romney is the best “business candidate” for 2012? Think again. And don’t just think, ACT. Don’t allow the “old money” rich Republican establishment to dissuade you. Romney is NOT a fait accompli. Remember how Herman Cain took down Bill Clinton in 1994? Wait until he gets a hold of Barack Obama. YOU must help him. If you are honest with yourself, you will not only admit Cain is clearly the best “business” candidate but that you must actively support him with your money and time. We have 6 months to take our county back. Yes we CAIN!

He’s going so fast, I can hardly keep up!! Yesterday he dropped a whopper of a lie.

“The reason the unemployment rate is still as high as it is, in part, is because there have been huge layoffs of government workers at the federal level, at the state level, at the local level. Teachers, police officers, firefighters, social workers– they have really taken it in the chin over the last several months. And so, what we’re trying to do is to see if we can stabilize the budget.”

A full fact-laden smackdown is laid out here: http://www.nationalreview.com/campaign-spot/267060/president-obama-completely-wrong-reason-high-unemployment

It calls Obama’s claim “completely wrong. Extremely and mind-bogglingly wrong. Epically wrong…There has not been a significant reduction — or even variation, really — in the size of the government workforce at the federal, state, and local level.”

Our President simply refuses to admit his economic policies are wrong. So he will continue to blame others, even when it means he has to make stuff up.

Debt ceiling:

March 20, 2006 – “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

April 15, 2011 – Failure by Congress to raise the U.S. debt limit “could plunge the world economy back into recession,” President Barack Obama declared Friday…he said he was confident Congress ultimately would raise the limit. “We always have. We will do it again”

Border fence:

“They wanted a fence. Well, that fence is now basically complete.”  Sure, if “basically complete” means “not even close to complete”!! Look for yourself at the most recent government update: http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/newsroom/highlights/fence_map.ctt/fence_map.pdf

But even those areas marked as “complete” are not what the 2006 Secure Fence Act requiring a double fence calls for. A sneaky earmark in the 2007 omnibus spending bill (thanks for nothing, Kay Bailey Hutchison) let the double fence law slide if the Secretary of Homeland Security didn’t think it was “the most appropriate means”. More power to unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats, just what we need. L

But even the great spin-meister Obama can’t get away with claiming the fence is “basically complete”. Arizona is literally taking donations so they can complete their sections themselves for goodness sakes! He is blatantly lying to get Latino votes. This kind of politics must END.

Unfortunately, I think there is going to be a part 3 and 4 of this series…

Herman Cain

Amazing debate last night for Herman Cain. Though I was pleasantly surprised by Rick Santorum‘s performance, the reaction of those seeing Cain for the first time was beyond my widest expectations: http://youtu.be/VXHX1AyHU4Q

I literally cheered and clapped so loudly I nearly woke up my children. Pawlenty did ok, and Johnson and Paul both towed the Libertarian line. But Crazy Uncle Ron is the same guy he was 4 years ago when he won zero states and just a few dozen delegates. No matter if the future debates include Romney, Gingrich or Trump, Cain will still prove to be the most capable and authentic. This guy is “for real” and the people – the real people – the grassroots – the primary voters who really care – are and will continue to see it. No matter where this Cain Train ends up, I am so glad to have been on board from such an early stage. Won’t you help me and thousands more to elect this man and make sure he is the one to replace Barack Obama?

The Lies of Barack Obama

Uncle Sam says Don't Trust Barack Obama!

I have had enough. Lie is a specific word with a specific meaning. Some of the things below are “broken campaign promises” and things that he has “reconsidered”. But unlike the “Bush lied about WMDs” crowd, President Obama engages in actual lies that are easily documented. If you are a progressive, you will see most if not all of these things as “things all politicians do” or somehow are fabricated by “Faux News” and the Koch brothers. But for any rational person reading this, here are, in general chronological order, the lies.

Will not run for President in 2008: Tim Russert: When we talked back in November of ‘04, after your election, I said, “There’s been enormous speculation about your political future. Will you serve your full six-year term as a United States senator from Illinois?” Obama: “Absolutely.” I will serve out my full six-year term. You know, Tim, if you get asked enough, sooner or later you get weary and you start looking for new ways of saying things, but my thinking has not changed. “so you will not run for president or vice president in 2008?”, “I will not.”

After he lied and ran:

Special interests: In January 2007, the Obama campaign described union contributions to the campaigns of Clinton and John Edwards as “special interest” money. Obama changed his tune as he began gathering his own union endorsements. He now refers respectfully to unions as the representatives of “working people” and says he is “thrilled” by their support.

Saying he would only take matching campaign funds ($85 million) during the primaries – McCain agreed – then said he wouldn’t during the general election because “the system is broken” (IE he realized he could raise more than 3 times as much – ended up being $264 million): “If you are nominated for President in 2008 and your major opponents agree to forgo private funding in the general election campaign, will you participate in the presidential public financing system? Yes.”; “If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election.”

Lies proven since being elected:

“When a bill lands on my Desk, The American people will have 5 days to review it before I sign it.”

“I’ll get rid of earmarks.”

“Would have the most transparent administration in history”

Guantanamo bay to be closed within a year.

Lies about the failed “Stimulus”:

Both Obama and Biden talked incessantly about the Unemployment rate going alllll the way up to 8.5% without $700 Billion stimulus. All their “experts” agreed. After passage of the bill in Feb. 09, it promptly rose to 8.6%. Then 9%…then over 10% by October.  Stayed between 9.5% and 10% for 15 more months in a row. Now “down” to 8.8%. Note: During the entire 8 years of the Bush administration, only 3 months had over 6.3% (6.6%, 6.8% and 7.3% in Oct-Dec 2008 – the months before, during and after Obama’s election).

We need a shovel, all right… Jan, 2009: “We’ve got shovel-ready projects all across the country that governors and mayors are pleading to fund. And the minute we can get those investments to the state level, jobs are going to be created.”  Oct. 2010: “There is no such thing as a shovel-ready project”.

Obamacare lies:

All Health Care reform debates/deals will be covered on C-span.

“I am immediately instituting PayGo (Pay as you go)”.

“The health care bill will not increase the deficit by one dime.”

“We shouldn’t Mandate the purchase of health care”

Newer lies:

“We have run out of places in the US to drill for oil.”

Post-partisan? “We can prove that we are more than a collection of Red States and Blue States” vs. “We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends”.

“I am not somebody who promotes same-sex marriage.” Then announces for no reason whatsoever that his administration will “not enforce” the Defense of Marriage Law.

Blaming the 2011 budget impasse on the Republican House elected in Nov. 2010. Huge Democrat majorities in both houses could have passed a 2011 budget at any time during 2010 but they refused to they refused to cut spending and did not want to be blamed for raising taxes (which they wanted to do and still want to do).

Speaking about winning elections:  Jan. 2009 after winning, “I won. So I think on that one, I trump you.”  April 2011 after losing, “Getting your way is not how it works”.

Sadly, I think I missed a lot and there will be MANY more to come. Especially now that he is back in Campaign mode…

We all must wise up and rise up and kick this empty suit to the curb in 2012.

Seal of the President of the United States

Let’s play a game called “Who said it first”! Keeping in mind the latest State of the Union speech by the President:

1. “veto every earmark pork-barrel bill.”

2. “across-the-board spending freeze.”

3.  “You take away the big money, you’re going to take away their power and you’re going to break that iron triangle of lobbyists, big money and influence over the legislative process which has so badly embarrassed so many of us and it is the gateway to draining the swamp.”

4. “You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig. You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It’s still gonna stink. We’ve had enough of the same old thing.”

Answers:

1. John McCain, 2008

2. John McCain, 2008

3. John McCain, 1999

4. Barack Obama, 2008
